Marketing Manager

QHeat is a Finnish geothermal energy technology company delivering and developing patented solutions for large-scale heating, cooling and seasonal heat storage. We help energy and heating companies, real estate owners and other partners build future-proof geothermal heat solutions and are now scaling our technology and expertise internationally through selected partners.

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to help turn this ambition into commercial success. This is a hands-on role with significant ownership, combining practical execution with strategic marketing development.  

The role focuses on marketing that generates demand, strengthens QHeat’s position and supports international growth, particularly in the Nordics and Central Europe. You will work closely with our commercial team, technical specialists, leadership and external partners.

Key priorities of the role:

1. Drive commercial and international growth

You will translate QHeat’s commercial priorities into focused marketing activities that reach and engage the organisations and decision-makers who can benefit from our technology.  

You will:

  • Develop and execute targeted marketing plans for QHeat’s priority markets and customer segments
  • Support sales, partnerships and new offering development with relevant campaigns, content and materials. 
  • Develop targeted marketing activities that engage customers at different stages of their decision-making journey, from initial awareness to commercial discussions and ongoing engagement. 
  • Help clarify and adapt QHeat’s value propositions for different markets, audiences and commercial needs. 

2. Strengthen QHeat’s brand, positioning and thought leadership

QHeat has patented technology, multidisciplinary expertise and a growing portfolio of delivered projects. You will help build QHeat’s market position by communicating our expertise, technology and customer value clearly and consistently.

You will:

  • Develop QHeat’s positioning, key messages and value propositions.
  • Work with QHeat’s experts to identify relevant insights, customer stories and industry perspectives . 
  • Translate complex technical subjects into clear and credible content for different audiences. 
  • Strengthen QHeat’s thought leadership by creating long and short form content for our website, LinkedIn, newsletters, events and other selected channels. 
  • Develop a systematic approach to sharing QHeat’s expertise, customer projects and commercial progress.  

3. Build QHeat’s marketing capability

You will help develop and create the structures, content processes and tools needed for systematic marketing as QHeat grows.

You will:

  • Own and execute a focused marketing plan aligned with QHeat’s business objectives. 
  • Prioritise activities and resources based on their commercial relevance and expected impact.
  • Develop our positioning and key messages across the website and core marketing materials. 
  • Establish practical processes and tools for content planning, publishing, campaign execution and cooperation with sales
  • Build simple and effective marketing measurement practices that support continuous improvement. 
  • Select and manage agencies, freelancers and specialist partners where external expertise is needed.

What we would like to see from you

You could be a good fit for this role if you combine hands-on marketing experience with commercial thinking and the confidence to take strategic ownership of marketing development.

  • Around 5 - 8 years of experience in B2B marketing communications, gained in start-up, scale-up or agency environment.
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to move comfortably between planning and execution.
  • Experience creating long and short form content for websites, newsletters, LinkedIn, campaigns or other digital channels.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to connect marketing with business goals.
  • The ability to understand technical topics and communicate their relevance clearly to different audiences.
  • Strong professional writing and communication skills in both Finnish and English.
  • Strong collaboration skills when working with internal specialists and external partners.
  • Interest in using AI, analytics and marketing technology to improve marketing effectiveness.

Experience in energy, climate technology, the built environment, industrial B2B marketing or international markets is an advantage. Other relevant European languages are considered a plus.

Practical information

  • Employment: Full-time and permanent.
  • The monthly salary range for this role is €4,000-4,500 depending on relevant experience and expertise.
  • Location and hybrid working: QHeat's office premises and hybrid working.
  • Preferred starting date: As agreed, as soon as possible.
